What To Do Before, During & After a Severe Storm

When a storm is predicted PMLP, recommends that you are familiar with the following procedures from the MA Emergency Management Agency.

PMLP customers can stay informed by subscribing to the FREE CodeRED Emergency Notification System, courtesy of the City of Peabody.

Click here and fill in the appropriate information to be alerted by your local emergency response team, notified in the manner(s) you designate, in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. (Examples: evacuation notices, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices and missing child reports.)

PMLP customers can stay informed about warnings, hazards and other kinds of important bulletins by downloading, subscribing or tuning in to MEMA-recommended update sources. Every family should have multiple methods for receiving emergency alerts, including at least one with an audible alert to wake you in the middle of the night.

IMPORTANT! WHAT TO DO WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT.
  • Report A Power Outage. Call PMLP 24-hours-a-day to report any power outage at (978) 531-5975.
  • Get Updates. Check this website or our Facebook Page which is updated frequently during unusual or catastrophic events.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL 9-1-1 TO REPORT A POWER OUTAGE or to ask for information about an outage. Call 9-1-1 about electircity only if it involves a public safety hazard such as wires down in a street, etc...
